U.S. Marine Testifies About Being Ignored Before Taliban Suicide Bomber Attack During Biden’s Afghanistan Withdrawal (Video)

A United States Marine Corps Sergeant, Tyler Vargas-Andrews, recently testified about his traumatic experience in Afghanistan, where he and his team were left to face a suicide bomber without proper support or guidance from their superiors.

The incident occurred during the botched withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan in 2021, which has been described as one of the most chaotic and disastrous episodes of President Joe Biden’s term.

Sergeant Vargas-Andrews spoke of his frustration in repeatedly requesting permission to terminate the bomber but receiving no response.

He stated, “Plain and simple, we were ignored. Our expertise was disregarded. No one was held accountable for our safety.”

This neglect, he said, had devastating consequences: “Then a flash and a massive wave of pressure. I’m thrown 12 feet onto the ground, but instantly knew what had happened. I opened my eyes to Marines dead or unconscious lying around me.”
