U.K. Prime Minister Suddenly Acknowledges Biological Reality

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has come out in support of biological reality following the U.K. Supreme Court stating that the legal definition of a woman is rooted in biological sex.

While he previously held that “transwoman are women,” as per ITV News, Starmer now asserts that a “woman is an adult female – the court has made that absolutely clear.”

“I actually welcome the judgment because I think it gives real clarity. It allows those that have got to draw up guidance to be really clear about what that guidance should say,” he said. “So I think it’s important that we see the judgment for what it is. It’s a welcome step forward.”

Starmer reiterated that the decision provides “real clarity in an area where we did need clarity, I’m pleased it’s come about.”

“We need to move and make sure that we now ensure that all guidance is in the right place according to that judgment.”

The United Kingdom’s Supreme Court ruled last week that the terms “man” and “woman” refer to biological sex. The judgment concludes a legal battle over whether a biological man identifying as a woman can be considered female under the Equality Act 2010.

“The unanimous decision of this court is that the terms woman and sex in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex,” Deputy President of the Supreme Court Patrick Hodge said upon delivering the judgment. “Therefore, a person with a Gender Recognition Certificate in the female gender does not come within the definition of a ‘woman’ under the Equality Act 2010 and the statutory guidance issued by the Scottish ministers is incorrect.”
