Two Women, Dog Killed in Stabbing Incident in England

Two women and a dog were tragically killed in a stabbing incident on Christmas Day in the town of Bletchley, England. Thames Valley Police have launched a double murder investigation following the deaths of a 38-year-old woman and a 24-year-old woman in an apartment block in Milton Keynes.

Two others—a man in his late twenties and a teenage boy—sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized. Authorities report that both are now in stable condition.

“We have launched a double murder investigation, which may be concerning to the wider public; however, we have made an arrest and are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident and the parties are known to each other,” senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Brangwin said.

“Members of the public will see a large police presence in the area while our investigation takes place. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to approach our officers and they will do their best to help.”

A dog injured during the attack was taken to a veterinarian but succumbed to its injuries.

Police have arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. He remains in custody as investigations continue. Authorities have not released information about the suspect’s identity or potential motive at this time.

Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit continues to work on the case, and the community is urged to come forward with any relevant information.
