U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources disclosed on Friday that three migrants have reached the El Paso sector in Texas showing confirmed cases of Tuberculosis, a report by Griff Jenkins from Fox News reveals.

Jenkins, a correspondent for Fox News, stated on Twitter (X), “BREAKING: CBP sources confirm to FOX News that there are ** three confirmed cases of Tuberculosis ** among migrants in the El Paso sector… further complicating the already daunting task of managing an overwhelming number arriving daily.”

The highly contagious bacterial infection, Tuberculosis, predominantly affects the lungs and displays symptoms such as coughing, chest pain, and the expulsion of blood or phlegm from the lungs.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have also noted that the disease can manifest through fatigue, chills, fever, night sweats, and loss of appetite, The Daily Caller noted.

Since the cessation of Title 42 in May, there has been a noticeable increase in illegal immigration.

Title 42, a policy from the Trump era, enabled the refusal of asylum seekers at the border if their arrival posed a “serious danger to the introduction of [a communicable] disease into the United States.”

Despite the observable influx, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre asserted in an August press conference that Biden is “stopping the flow at the border.”

The identification of Tuberculosis cases amongst the migrants intensifies the already considerable challenges facing CBP in managing the vast numbers arriving daily.

The heightened arrival of migrants and the confirmed Tuberculosis cases have augmented the complexities of border management and the overarching immigration scenario, propelling it to the forefront of national discussions and policy considerations.

In New York, a variety of diseases have been detected among undocumented immigrants.

As migrants make their way across the southern border and are transported to different states, including New York, there’s growing apprehension regarding the transmission of infectious diseases.

Recent research has revealed that a notable 4% of migrants moving from Central and South America to Europe have been diagnosed with Chagas’ disease.

The CDC has stipulated that individuals seeking to immigrate, who are carriers of communicable diseases, are not admissible to the United States.

However, the effective enforcement of this stipulation is challenging, particularly when individuals are not systematically screened prior to entering the country, which is often the case with undocumented migrants.

U.S. Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) has estimated that 10 million illegal immigrants will have entered the country during the Biden administration, Newsmax reports.

“By the time Trump gets back in office, you will have had over 10 million, in my opinion, over 10 million illegal aliens cross our border and come into the country, under the Biden regime,” he said.
