President Donald Trump issued a stark follow-up Friday morning after Israel’s decisive strike on Iran’s nuclear sites and military command, declaring in a post that he gave Tehran “chance after chance to make a deal” and warned them plainly: “JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.” Trump’s warning underscores what he framed as a missed opportunity by the Iranian regime to avoid devastating consequences.
In a message posted to Truth Social, Trump explained that he told Iran’s leadership “in the strongest of words” that “no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done.” He noted that the U.S. and Israel possess “the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the World, BY FAR,” and warned that “Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come.”
Trump stated that Iranian “hardliners spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse!”
Following Trump’s warning, the president spoke with CNN’s Dana Bash, calling the Israeli operation “a very successful attack” and emphasizing America’s unwavering support: “We of course support Israel, obviously, and supported it like nobody has ever supported it.”
He reiterated that the Islamic Republic ignored his 60-day ultimatum. “I gave them a 60-day warning, and today is day 61,” he said.
