Trump’s Chief of Staff One of ‘World’s Most Powerful Women’

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has been listed as one of Forbes’ “World’s Most Powerful Women” for 2025.

Forbes listed Wiles as number 66, stating she “made history as the first female White House Chief of Staff in January 2025.” The publication further described her as a “longtime political consultant who played a major role in the 2024 presidential election, working behind the scenes to get Donald Trump re-elected by co-chairing his campaign.” Prior to working for President Trump’s campaign, Wiles served as CEO of the Republican Save America Leadership PAC and has also worked for “many Republicans across the political spectrum, including Ronald Reagan, Mitt Romney, Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis.”

The publication noted that her first political job was “working for New York Representative Jack Kemp as an assistant in 1979.”

Several members of the Trump administration congratulated Wiles, including Education Secretary Linda McMahon and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz.

European Union President Ursula von der Leyen was ranked as number 1 on the list. “She is the first woman to serve in the role, which is responsible for legislation affecting more than 450 million Europeans,” Forbes wrote. “From 2005 until 2019, von der Leyen served in Angela Merkel’s cabinet–the longest tenure of any cabinet member.”

Upon naming Wiles as his Chief of Staff, President Trump said, “Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history, and was an integral part of both my 2016 and 2020 successful campaigns. Susie is tough, smart, innovative, and is universally admired and respected. Susie will continue to work tirelessly to Make America Great Again.”

“It is a well deserved honor to have Susie as the first-ever female Chief of Staff in United States history,” he said. “I have no doubt that she will make our country proud.”
