Trump to Establish Cabinet Position Dedicated to Reducing Cost of Living if Elected President

Former President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he plans to establish a new Cabinet position dedicated to reducing the cost of living if he is elected for a second term.

Speaking at a rally in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Trump described this initiative as part of a “new step” to bring “emergency price relief to all Americans” just days before Election Day.

“I will create a new Cabinet position for a senior member of my administration who will be tasked exclusively with doing everything in the federal government’s power to reduce the cost of living,” Trump said.

Trump also pledged to sign an executive order on his first day in office that would instruct every federal agency to “immediately remove every single burdensome regulation driving up the cost of goods.” His remarks come as Americans continue to express concerns about the economy, with the cost of groceries and inflation ranking as top issues for voters in this year’s election.
