Trump Revokes Biden’s Security Clearance, Ends Intelligence Briefings

President Donald Trump announced Friday that he is revoking former President Joe Biden’s security clearance and terminating his access to daily intelligence briefings.

Trump’s Announcement

Trump made the decision public on social media shortly after arriving at Mar-a-Lago for the weekend. In his statement, he cited Biden’s mishandling of classified documents and cognitive decline, referencing the Hur Report, which highlighted Biden’s “poor memory” and inability to be trusted with sensitive information—even in his prime.

“There is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information. Therefore, we are immediately revoking Joe Biden’s Security Clearances, and stopping his daily Intelligence Briefings,” Trump wrote. “He set this precedent in 2021, when he instructed the Intelligence Community (IC) to stop the 45th President of the United States (ME!) from accessing details on National Security, a courtesy provided to former Presidents.”

“I will always protect our National Security — JOE, YOU’RE FIRED. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” – President Trump

Biden previously revoked Trump’s access to security clearance and intelligence briefings in 2021, claiming Trump’s “erratic” behavior and his challenge to the 2020 election results made him unfit to receive sensitive national security information.

Now, Trump is flipping the script, ensuring that Biden no longer has access to intelligence briefings in his post-presidency.

What’s Next?

Biden has yet to respond, but Trump’s move signals a strong stance on national security and a continuation of his America First policies.

Last month, the Department of Defense, under Secretary Pete Hegseth, announced the immediate revocation of retired General Mark Milley’s personal security detail and security clearance. This decision includes the removal of Milley’s portraits from the Pentagon, effectively erasing his visual legacy within the department.

Investigation into Potential Demotion

An internal review has been initiated to assess whether General Milley should be demoted by one rank in retirement. The investigation focuses on allegations that Milley undermined the chain of command during President Donald Trump’s first term. Notably, Milley was previously accused of making unauthorized communications with Chinese military officials, actions that former President Trump labeled as potentially treasonous.
