BACKGROUND:
- Durham—appointed by then-Attorney General William Barr to serve as the Special Counsel for the United States Department of Justice in October 2020, while Trump was president—had filed a motion in federal court in Washington, DC, in connection with the prosecution of former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann, who is charged with lying to the FBI about his role in fabricating the Russia “collusion” hoax, according to Breitbart.
- According to the filing, Clinton tried to fabricate connections between Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russia, which was accused of meddling in the election, The Daily Mail reports.
- The filings showed how Clinton’s campaign hired a tech firm to “infiltrate” and allegedly hack servers that were at Trump Tower, and later the White House.
