Trump Receives ‘Architect of Peace’ Award

President Trump received the Architect of Peace Award from the Nixon Foundation.

“President Donald J. Trump is honored with the Richard Nixon Foundation’s Architect of Peace Award,” the White House said in a statement. “Established in 1995, following President Nixon’s death, this prestigious award celebrates those who advance his lifelong goal of fostering global peace.”

Among those presenting the award were Richard Nixon’s daughter Tricia Nixon Cox, former national security adviser Robert O’Brien, and acting archivist Jim Byron, CBS News reports.

President Trump is the first sitting president to receive the award. Past honorees include Walter Annenberg and Newt Gingrich in 1995, George H.W. Bush in 2000, Michael Pompeo in 2021, and George W. Bush in 2024.

The Richard Nixon Foundation describes the award as one “given to individuals who embody his lifelong goal of shaping a more peaceful world.”

The peace award given to President Trump follows Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.

Machado said she accepted the award in honor of Trump, stating, “This recognition of the struggle of all Venezuelans is a boost to conclude our task: to conquer Freedom.”

“We are on the threshold of victory and today, more than ever, we count on President Trump, the people of the United States, the peoples of Latin America, and the democratic nations of the world as our principal allies to achieve Freedom and democracy,” she said. “I dedicate this prize to the suffering people of Venezuela and to President Trump for his decisive support of our cause!”
