Trump Mocks Taylor Swift, Kansas City Chiefs After Eagles Super Bowl Win

President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Sunday night to share his thoughts following Super Bowl LIX, appearing to take some parting shots at both the Kansas City Chiefs and pop star Taylor Swift after the game.

President Trump attended Super Bowl LIX, making history as the first sitting president to do so. During the national anthem, Trump was shown on the stadium’s big screen, receiving loud cheers from the crowd at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Later in the game, Taylor Swift, who attended in support of her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was also shown on the screen—but her reception was far different. The pop star faced boos from the crowd, prompting her to react with a playful side-eye that quickly went viral on social media.

Swift’s reaction drew attention from fans and celebrities, including tennis legend Serena Williams, who defended her online.

The chilly reception for Swift comes amid rising tensions between the singer and the president. Over the past year, Swift has increasingly aligned herself with Democrats, most notably endorsing Kamala Harris for president. Trump, in turn, has been publicly critical of Swift, even stating that he prefers Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has expressed support for Trump on social media.

Additionally, Swift’s high-profile relationship with Kelce and her frequent NFL appearances have stirred mixed reactions among football fans, with some embracing her presence and others questioning its impact on the game.

While Trump previously voiced support for Kansas City before the Super Bowl, his post-game remarks suggest that he wasn’t entirely pleased with how the night played out—for either the Chiefs or Swift.

“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” Trump wrote.

He posted videos highlighting the contrasting reactions he and Swift received from the crowd.

“The worst part of the Super Bowl, by far, was watching the Kickoff where, as the ball is sailing through the air, the entire field is frozen, stiff. College Football does not do it, and won’t! Whose idea was it to ruin the Game?” Trump wrote.
