US President Donald Trump confirmed that he has officially dropped all work on sanction relief for Iran after Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei delivered an “angry, hostile, and unhappy” speech, falsely claiming victory over Israel. This move signals a return to a firm stance, with no leniency for a regime that celebrates destruction.
Trump explained on Truth Social: “During the last few days, I was working on the possible removal of sanctions… The sanctions are BITING! But no, instead I get hit with a statement of anger, hatred, and disgust, and immediately dropped all work on sanction relief, and more.” He emphasized that Iran “has to get back into the World Order flow, or things will only get worse for them.”
Under Trump’s “maximum pressure” campaign, the U.S. targeted Iran’s military networks, oil exports, and shipping industry—striking a severe blow to its nuclear ambitions. Khamenei responded by claiming the U.S. “achieved nothing” and boasted of delivering “a heavy slap to the U.S.’s face.”
But U.S. and Israeli intelligence paint a different picture. Israel’s Atomic Energy Commission calls Iran’s Fordow site “inoperable” and notes the strike “set back Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons by many years.” CIA Director John Ratcliffe added that Iran’s nuclear program is “severely damaged.”
Trump also praised the precision of the strikes: “His three evil Nuclear Sites were OBLITERATED… I knew EXACTLY where he was sheltered.” He said he prevented a strike on Khamenei himself, asserting U.S. forces remain “the Greatest and Most Powerful in the World.”
This move made President Trump’s intentions clear: “I dropped all work on sanction relief” and affirmed America will not reward hostility. That decision—rooted in strength, not weakness—cements the message that aggression from Tehran will not go unpunished.
