President Donald Trump’s support among Republican voters continues to climb, even as media and online platforms intensify scrutiny over the Epstein case. Recent polling reveals that GOP approval of Trump has not declined—in fact, it has strengthened.
CNN’s latest data shows Trump’s Republican approval rating rose from 86% to 88% since the previous survey. Quinnipiac reported a similar trend, with Republican approval increasing from 87% to 90%. CNN’s chief data analyst Harry Enten expressed surprise at the results, noting Trump is “at the apex” of popularity within the Republican Party.
Enten also pointed out that, despite heavy social media focus on the Epstein case, GOP voters remain largely unaffected. CNN’s poll showed only one Republican respondent cited the Epstein files as the most important national issue. Enten emphasized that the concern dominating online discussions holds little weight with the broader Republican electorate.
Trump addressed the controversy directly, labeling it the “Jeffrey Epstein Hoax” in a Truth Social post. He accused “Radical Left Democrats” of launching yet another smear effort to derail his campaign and distract from what he called “incredible and unprecedented success.” He also distanced himself from former allies who have amplified the accusations, stating, “I don’t want their support anymore.”
This development underscores a persistent pattern in Republican politics. Trump’s base remains firmly loyal, showing little interest in media-driven controversies. Even high-profile allegations fail to dent his standing among conservatives, who continue to prioritize broader issues like the economy, border security, and cultural values over revived scandals.
The Epstein narrative may continue to dominate headlines, but polling shows it holds little traction among Republican voters. Trump’s clear messaging and continued focus on populist priorities appear to reinforce his stronghold within the party.
