Trump Endorses Mo Brooks for Senate Run

Former President Donald Trump endorsed Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) for his Senate run Wednesday morning, giving his staunch supporter real treasure for the 2022 Senate race in a state deemed “safe red.”

“Few Republicans have as much COURAGE and FIGHT as Alabama Congressman Mo Brooks,” Trump said in his statement, calling Brooks “a great conservative Republican leader.”

On March 22, Brooks announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate seat to be vacated by 86-year-old Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), who won’t seek reelection after serving the Senate for 6 terms.

“Mo Brooks is pro-life, loves our Military and our Vets, will protect our Second Amendment, combat the Biden open borders agenda, is fighting for voter integrity (like few others), and was the Co-Chair of our winning, and record-setting, Alabama campaign in 2020,” Trump continued in his statement.
