Three boys, aged 12 to 13, were shot and injured early Thursday morning during an attempted armed robbery at an apartment complex in Harris County, Texas. According to law enforcement, four boys, aged 12 to 14, were involved in the incident.
Authorities report that the boys approached a man at his residence armed with pistols and attempted to rob him. The man, claiming self-defense, pulled out his own firearm and shot three of the boys.
The injured boys were rushed to a nearby hospital. One is in critical condition after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds and is currently recovering in the ICU. The other two suffered non-life-threatening injuries and are receiving treatment.
