The Texas National Guard continues to build raze wire border barriers, defying the Biden administration.
The Biden administration and the Texas National Guard are in the middle of an ongoing dispute over Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas, a park that has been used as a major bypass for illegal immigrants attempting to gain access to the United States.
The National Guard took control of Shelby Park after Customs and Border Patrol agents were filmed cutting through razor wire to make it easier for illegals to enter the country.
According to the Daily Wire, “Texas authorities have not only maintained existing razor wire fortifications but have added razor wire to border barriers, all while continuing to bar Border Patrol from establishing a presence in the park.”
Texas authorities have also reportedly arrested immigrants for trespassing, taking some to jail rather than handing them over to Customs and Border Patrol for processing.
“Half of America joins Texas in asserting our constitutional right of self defense under Art. 1, Sec. 10, stemming from Joe Biden’s refusal to enforce immigration laws,” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said. “His actions have caused an unprecedented invasion that we must defend against.”
