LGBT activists said they would “starve” without prostituting themselves.
QUICK FACTS:
- Two LGBT activists were cited for prostitution after police conducted an undercover sting operation.
- Ezra Fry, who describes himself as a “Rabid Queer, Gender Anarchist, College Dropout” on social media, and David Acevedo, a “Trans, Disabled, Queer, Puerto Rican, ExEd Teacher,” were substitute teachers at an elementary school in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
- The sting was conducted on August 25–26 with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Human Trafficking Unit, the Tennessee Human Trafficking Task Force, the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations, the Chattanooga Police Department, the Office of 11th Judicial District Attorney General Coty Wamp, and Grow Free Tennessee.
- An undercover officer posed as a “John” and contacted Fry through an “illicit prostitution website,” according to a report obtained by WTVC.
- The officer went to Fry’s house and exchanged a $150 payment before identifying himself as police.
- Authorities found “a large amount of drug paraphernalia” and a .22-caliber rifle while searching the home, the report noted, adding that Fry and Acevedo told police that “they have to do this or they will starve.”
- The LGBT activists were ultimately charged with prostitution or promoting prostitution, drug paraphernalia, simple possession, and unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon.
STATEMENT FROM RESIDENTS:
- In April 2023, an image surfaced of Fry substituting at East Ridge Elementary School in Hamilton County, Tennessee.
- Fry allegedly asked students to call him “Mrs,” prompting outrage from parents and county residents.
- One resident, Mark Caldwell, told the Tennessee Conservative that “parents of these first graders had no advance knowledge about this ‘teacher,’ and did not consent to their children being exposed to this gender-dysphoric indoctrination.”
- “For the record, I believe how an adult wants to ‘identify’ is their personal business, but it becomes all of our business when they take that identity public in order to groom young children with their identity disorder,” they said.
BACKGROUND:
- An analysis from The Epoch Times found that $4.1 billion in federal funding has been allocated to LGBT-related projects.
- From 2020 to 2023, the U.S. government awarded over 1,100 grants to various projects aimed at supporting and promoting LGBT causes.
- A separate filter for “transgender” revealed 574 grants, with the more substantial ones amounting to nearly $478 million.
- Tiffany Justice, co-founder of Moms for Liberty, voiced her concerns, stating, “The federal government is using the grant process to change the culture and climate in America’s public schools.”
