Hundreds of protesters gathered on Tuesday evening in downtown Portland, Oregon, to express outrage over the leaked decision of the US Supreme Court to overrule the 1973 case of Roe v. Wade that prohibited states from banning legal access to abortions.
Asa Saint Clair, the close associate of Nancy Pelosi’s son Paul Pelosi Jr., has been convicted of wire fraud for his role in running a scam called the World Sports Alliance, which Paul Pelosi Jr. represented in the country of Ukraine. Saint Clair now faces 20 years in prison when he goes up for sentencing in July, giving him plenty of time to flip on his associates. The California Legislature passed 836 bills this year, of which Gov. Gavin Newsom signed 770. That’s 92 percent. He vetoed only 66, or 8 percent. That’s about average for governors in recent years.
