One police officer was killed and two others were critically injured in a violent shooting that also left the suspect dead in Fargo, North Dakota, authorities said.
Heuermann, living just across South Oyster Bay from where the bodies of 11 victims were discovered, was detained late on Thursday in Massapequa, disclosed an unnamed law enforcement source.
The USSS’s statement asserted that “security systems” were checked and “several hundreds individuals” indexed, yet, apparently, no potential suspect was identified.
