In late September, Tennessee state Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson returned a $1,000 check Pfizer PAC had donated for the 2020 election. He then proceeded to sponsor a sweeping bill that ended most vaccine and mask mandates, a bill that was ultimately signed by the governor. Good for him. Now it’s time for the thousands of other state and federally elected Republicans to do the same.
The White House said Friday that the Biden administration will lift travel restrictions on eight southern African countries imposed last month in a bid to curb of the spread of the highly contagious Omicron variant of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.
The Omicron variant has caused alarm particularly in the U.S., where it is now said to account for most of the new recorded cases of COVID. But new research suggests that the highly transmissible variant is less likely to result in hospitalizations among those who get it as compared to previous variants.
