“You see society coming at our children in a culture war that has an agenda to make them confused. We are depriving children of the ability to figure out who they are when we push an agenda, a sexualized agenda, down onto children," said one Florida senator.
FTC's bureau of consumer protection director Samuel Levine stated, “Facebook has repeatedly violated its privacy promises. The company’s recklessness has put young users at risk, and Facebook needs to answer for its failures.”
State Sen. Lynda Wilson (R-Vancouver) criticized the legislation, stating, “HB 1240 clearly violates our state and federal constitutions, which is why it will end up in court immediately."
The legislation imposes a felony charge on doctors who perform sex-change surgeries on children, with penalties of up to 10 years in prison and $20,000 in fines.
"Medical Freedom is an absolute right. I urge my colleagues to join me in this mission to block tyrannical and draconian measures from being utilized by the Federal Government," says Rep. Santos.
“I can’t think of any bill that’s going to provide more protections to more people who are more vulnerable than this piece of legislation," said Rep. Beltran.
“This weaponized prosecutor’s office has spent thousands of federal taxpayer dollars to subsidize this political indictment and is demanding millions more in federal grants,” Rep. Biggs said.
