The House Committee on Education and Workforce has launched an antisemitism probe into the National Education Association (NEA), questioning whether the country’s largest teachers’ union is spreading anti-Israel extremism in classrooms.
Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) has introduced legislation that would ban the National Education Association (NEA) from influencing Congress, citing the union’s shift from education to radical political activism. The bill would require the NEA to certify annually that it has not lobbied lawmakers, or risk losing its congressional charter.
