California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a potential Democratic presidential candidate in 2024, is facing criticism for vacationing in Montana, a state he banned state employees from traveling to for publicly-funded trips.

Mask mandates are being lifted for public servants while government departments and agencies will return to the workplace at full capacity, Health Canada said in an update of its occupational health guidance on May 16.
“Countries with high levels of mask compliance did not perform better than those with low mask usage,” found a new study, whose data and analysis instead discovered a “moderate positive correlation between mask usage and deaths.”
The CDC has officially reinstated its mask recommendation for travelers in the U.S. despite a judge’s order last month declaring mask mandates unlawful.
The Senate voted Tuesday on a bill that could overturn the Biden administration’s mask mandate for small children in Head Start facilities in a 55–41 vote.
