The court holds a 6-3 conservative majority, and the line of questioning Friday suggested the conservative justices were skeptical of the federal government's power to impose broad Covid-19 vaccine regulations.
The Supreme Court seemed skeptical this morning of the Biden administration’s bold claim that it has the authority to impose vaccination mandates applying to more than 84 million private sector employees.
Challengers say the admin. exceeds its authority in requiring Covid-19 vaccines or testing at large employers, and mandating vaccines for health care workers.
In late September, Tennessee state Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson returned a $1,000 check Pfizer PAC had donated for the 2020 election. He then proceeded to sponsor a sweeping bill that ended most vaccine and mask mandates, a bill that was ultimately signed by the governor. Good for him. Now it’s time for the thousands of other state and federally elected Republicans to do the same.
