The Wisconsin legislature is looking to create a state constitutional amendment where voters would decide if private election donations would be prohibited at the local level.
Recent revelations have shown that the U.S. federal government has earmarked more than $4.1 billion for grants in support of LGBT and transgender projects worldwide.
The legislation, known as AB 969, which was introduced and gained substantial approval in September, permits manual ballot counting only under specific conditions: during regular elections in regions with fewer than 1,000 registered voters, and special elections with under 5,000 voters.
