Lawmakers in the state of Maine approved a part of legislation that would give 16-and-17-year-olds the ability to undergo hormone therapy for gender transitions without parental consent.
North Carolina's Republican-dominated General Assembly has successfully overruled a veto from Governor Roy Cooper, a Democrat, to enact legislation that severely restricts abortions beyond 12 weeks of pregnancy.
"These extremists dare claim to be for life, but instead of acting to save lives from gun violence, extremists state by state made it legal to open carry a gun without even a permit or background checks," Harris stated.
“The fact that the Governor continues to overspend creating structural deficits in future years is fiscally irresponsible," Republican Assemblymember Vince Fong said.
