In a significant escalation, Israel has declared a "complete siege" on the Gaza Strip, following a series of deadly attacks by Hamas across the nation over the weekend.
In the midst of the escalating conflict now in its fourth day, the Israeli military has issued a stark warning, stating on Tuesday that their retaliatory airstrikes against Gaza will be “bigger than before and more severe.”
“[I]f we had been able to scramble a fighter or aircraft or two over Benghazi as quickly as possible after the attack commenced, I believe there would not have been a mortar attack on the annex in the morning because I believe the Libyans would have split."
