The Supreme Court on Tuesday will hear the case of a Guatemalan transgender woman who is seeking to avoid deportation from the U.S. after a lower court said she didn’t go through the proper process to demonstrate she would be persecuted in her home country if she were deported.
A federal judge in Oregon dismissed a lawsuit from a group of 40 LGBT+ individuals against the U.S. Education Department challenging a Title IX exemption that allows religious colleges to receive federal funding.
"The Sixth Circuit’s decision is a resounding victory against unlawful federal overreach into the personal medical decisions of Kentuckians," says Kentucky AG.
"This case was all about Allen Weisselberg committing tax fraud on his personal tax returns. Every witness repeatedly testified that President Trump and the Trump family knew nothing about Allen Weisselberg’s actions," Trump's defense lawyer said after the verdict.
"Schofield admitted that in 2021, he unlawfully possessed and used the names and dates of birth of voters in connection with 12 absentee ballot applications he electronically submitted in the voters’ names to the New York State Voter Absentee Ballot Application Request Portal," according to the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of New York.
The special grand jury investigating President Donald Trump for alleged crimes in overturning the election has completed its work, issuing a final report and recommending actions to be taken; it is now up to the district attorney to decide whether to seek an indictment from a regular grand jury.
