Prominent Democratic congressman and a prominent Democratic campaign committee have purportedly breached federal election law by collectively compensating over $700,000 to a company owned by a foreign national for campaign-related activities.
Florida’s Republican Representative Matt Gaetz has officially approached Catherine Szpindor, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the U.S. House of Representatives, submitting a formal request to have his salary retained until a resolution to fund the government is reached.
The concerns revolve around Section 8138 of Public Law 117-328, which explicitly forbids the allocation of U.S. funds to the Azov Battalion, a unit notorious for its neo-Nazi affiliations and alleged human rights abuses.
