Suspect Arrested for New York Stabbing Is Illegal Immigrant

A man who was arrested in a case related to a New York stabbing is an illegal immigrant.

The man was previously arrested after allegedly stabbing a man in Maryland.

“How he got here and how he was freed after the arrest this past winter and out on the streets to allegedly murder someone in Troy needs to be explained,” wrote Rensselaer County Executive Steven F. McLaughlin on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“I can confirm our defendant is the same individual that was arrested earlier this year,” said Assistant Police Chief Steven Barker.

According to authorities, the investigation is still ongoing.

“The arrest does not signify the conclusion of our investigation,” reads a Facebook post from Troy Police Department. “Detectives will continue their follow-up investigation as they attempt to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the incident. We have not yet confirmed a motive.”

Reporting from The Epoch Times:

This weekend's stabbing incident comes about two weeks after Ms. Hochul sent a letter to President Biden begging for federal aid as Republican leaders in border states continue to send illegal immigrants to Democrat-run cities, citing overwhelming conditions in border regions due to migrants crossing the U.S.–Mexico border illegally.

"With the arrival of over 100,000 asylum seekers and migrants in the past year, coupled with the sustained arrival of hundreds if not thousands to the City every week, the federal government must partner with the City and State in handling this humanitarian crisis," Ms. Hochul wrote on Aug. 24.
