Supermodel Slams NYC Vax Mandate

(Newswars) “I think we live in a democracy and we should be allowed to do what we want to do,” says Carol Alt

A world-famous supermodel and actress has voiced her opposition to COVID vaccine mandates and expressed admiration for those who are standing against them, according to reports.

Carol Alt, 60, broke with her celebrity peers on the issue, saying people need to be allowed make decisions for themselves and their loved ones and should not face punishment for declining experimental injections.

Alt stood up for thousands of New York City workers who have been forced onto unpaid leave for defying a requirement that all municipal employees receive at least one shot by October 29.

“I think the problem is that mandate,” Alt told Page Six. “I think a lot of these men would have done what they had to do to protect themselves and their families if they were just left alone.”

“I mean, I think we live in a democracy and we should be allowed to do what we want to do. Certainly, everyone in SAG and the CFDA are all vaccinated, so I don’t know. It’s a very hard question.”

The draconian policy applies to police officers and firefighters, so its negative impact may strike a special chord with Alt, whose father was a fire chief in the Bronx.

“I have friends who are Christian Scientists who don’t believe in getting vaccinated,” she said. “I just think there needs to be space to breathe.”

“I so admire Kyrie Irving for what he’s doing,” Alt said of the NBA star who has been banned from the Brooklyn Nets for refusing to comply with injection mandates.

“I mean, I’m certain he’s got lots of money saved up, but that’s not the point. The point is how do you lose $400,000 a game? How do you sit on the sidelines, except you have a strong character and a strong belief?”
