Gwen Stefani, the Grammy-winning singer and wife of Blake Shelton, has urged her fans to focus on prayer and the true meaning of Christmas this year: the celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth.
In a recent video, Stefani encouraged viewers to join her in a prayer challenge on the Catholic Hallow app during the Advent season.
Stefani shared her enthusiasm for the holiday, stating, “The Christmas season has always been my favorite time of the year. It’s the season that we get to celebrate the birth of our Lord.”
She invited fans to participate in the “Advent Pray 25”challenge, explaining, “Join me and millions of other Christians around the world as we celebrate together the truth that God so loved the world that he gave us… his only God. Download Hallow and join me in praying every day. God bless.”
The prayer initiative, launched in partnership with the Hallow app, features other notable Christian celebrities such as Jonathan Roumie, Kevin James, Lauren Daigle, and Bear Grylls. The app provides an Advent calendar and prayer routines to guide users throughout the four weeks leading up to Christmas.
Stefani, who was raised Catholic, surprised some fans with the partnership, as reported by The Blast. However, her message emphasizes the importance of faith and prayer during the Christmas season, inspiring Christians worldwide to reflect on the spiritual significance of the holiday.
Last month, the faith-based “Hallow” app announced that musicians Gwen Stefani, Matt Maher, Lauren Daigle, and Sarah Kroger would join the Advent Pray25 Prayer Challenge with a song each Saturday of Advent.
