A 24-year-old Venezuelan man, Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, was arrested for allegedly posing as a 16-year-old to enroll at Perrysburg High School in Ohio. Using fraudulent documents, Sierra claimed to be an unaccompanied minor and attended the school for over a year, participating in junior varsity soccer and swim teams.
He lived with a local family who obtained guardianship, unaware of his true age. The deception came to light when the mother of Sierra’s child contacted the guardians, revealing his actual age and providing corroborating documents.
Sierra was arrested on felony forgery charges and is being held on a $50,000 bond. He faces movement restrictions near the school and is under investigation for additional potential charges. Federal immigration authorities are also involved, considering deportation proceedings.
