In a recent interview, Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, defended her performance over the past three and a half years, arguing that it is unfair to hold her accountable for the administration’s challenges since she is not the president.
He emphasized that, as vice president, Harris “supports” the administration rather than leads it.
“She’s the vice president, not the president. The vice president is there as part of the administration, not leading the administration,” he claimed. “So as president, she’s gonna be able to put forth her policies and plans and effectuate those.”
Emhoff claimed that Harris would implement her own policies if she were president, addressing criticisms about her role in key issues like immigration, Afghanistan, and inflation.
