The O’Keefe Media Group released a video exposing a scientist admitting that Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine was not “safe and effective.”
“Do you have any idea the lack of research that was done on those products?” lead regulatory scientist Joshua Rys says in the video. “People wanted it. We gave it to them.”
“None of that stuff was safe and effective. So we didn’t do typical tests. The typical process takes so long to get a product on the market,” he explains. “The typical process is all this clinical trial testing and stuff in a small population. This was just, ‘let’s test it on some lab-rat models, analyze, see if it works, and just throw it to the wind and see what happens.'”
The scientist notes that he is “sure somebody’s going to get sued for that stuff eventually.”
“Do you have any idea the lack of research that was done on those products,” he asks, adding, “It was pretty much the government kind of made a deal with pharmaceutical companies, and kind of pressured the pharmaceutical companies, because we’re not going to say ‘no’ to help the government.”
According to a Health and Human Services spokesperson, pharmaceutical companies are “still required to follow strict protocols for clinical testing” during public health emergencies.
“For emergency use, companies must show that the benefits clearly outweigh the risks. Oversight doesn’t stop at approval — the FDA and other agencies also monitor products closely once they’re in use,” the spokesperson told O’Keefe Media Group. “That includes real-world safety tracking, independent advisory committees, and required reporting of any adverse events. These steps are in place to make sure public health decisions are based on solid science and strong safeguards — especially in emergencies.”
In 2022, the FDA revised its guidance for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, warning that the inoculation posed a “risk of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), a potentially fatal adverse reaction. “
