Rubio Slams Media: ‘No, Trump Didn’t Deport American Kids!’

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and border security advisor Tom Homan refuted recent allegations that the Trump administration deported U.S. citizen children, asserting that these claims are misleading. They emphasized that in the cited cases, the children accompanied their deported parents voluntarily, and that the administration did not forcibly remove American-born minors from the country.

During appearances on national news programs, Rubio criticized media portrayals suggesting that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents forcibly deported children. He clarified that the children traveled with their deported mothers by parental choice, not by government mandate.

Homan addressed concerns raised by a Louisiana judge regarding a two-year-old girl allegedly deported without due process. He maintained that the mother had undergone the legal process and chose to take her child with her upon deportation. Homan emphasized that U.S. citizen children have the right to remain in the country if a legal guardian assumes custody.

In another case involving a four-year-old child with cancer, Rubio reiterated that the child left the U.S. with her deported mother by choice. He noted that the administration does not deport U.S. citizens and that such decisions rest with the parents.

The Trump administration continues to enforce immigration laws and is pursuing legal avenues to end birthright citizenship, aiming to address illegal immigration more effectively.
