Ron DeSantis Campaign Chief Strategist Resigns

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ (R) Chief Strategist Jeff Roe has resigned from the DeSantis 2024 Campaign, “Never Back Down.”

“I can’t believe it ended this way. I’m so proud to have worked alongside these men and women at NBD 24/7 the past nine months to save the country,” Roe shared on X. “Good luck the next 28 days and a wake up. I’m so sorry I can’t be there with you.”

Roe’s exit from the campaign follows a Washington Post article describing “management and conduct issues” within Never Back Down.

“I cannot in good conscience stay affiliated with Never Back Down (NBD) given the statements in the Washington Post today,” Roe wrote. “They are not true and an unwanted distraction at a critical time for Governor DeSantis.”

“Governor DeSantis has been an exceptional governor and I hope he will be the 47th President of the United States. I wish the Governor, First Lady, and their entire team the best through the rest of the campaign.”

The PAC’s leader, Chris Jankowski, recently left the group after saying he believed it was “untenable” to deliver on getting DeSantis elected.

“Never Back Down’s main goal and sole focus has been to elect Gov. Ron DeSantis as president,” Jankowski said.

“Given the current environment it has become untenable for me to deliver on the shared goal and that goes well beyond a difference of strategic opinion.”

He said that despite his decision, “for the future of our country I support and pray Ron DeSantis is our 47th president.”
