‘Rock the Woke’ Campaign Lists ‘Woke’ Companies to Boycott

“It’s time for companies like Disney to realize that if they go woke, they will go broke. We encourage all consumers to boycott Disney and the companies they own in order to send a message that they should stay out of culture wars and focus on entertainment,” the business advocacy group states.

QUICK FACTS:
  • American small business advocacy group ‘Job Creators Network’ (JCN) is launching its “Rock the Woke” campaign to “highlight egregious examples of ‘wokeness’ hijacking free-market capitalism.”
  • “Corporate boards need to take a stand against the small group of woke activists that are trying to reshape American free enterprise, which historically has created prosperity for the masses,” the organization’s website reads. “Corporate America has a duty to its shareholders and, in turn, its consumers—not to extreme environmentalism, unhinged social justice, or over-the-top cancel culture.”
  • JCN spotlights Disney and American Express as companies that have “already fallen for the trap and are paying the price. Don’t follow in their footsteps and let the Woke Crowd poison your boardroom like they’ve already infiltrated our schools. Instead, focus on what you do best: Running a good, profitable business.”
  • Rock the Woke is taking aim at Disney first, encouraging consumers to take the “No Mouse in My House” pledge and to boycott Disney’s “massive entertainment empire until they realize they need to focus on entertaining families … and not being left-wing bullies,” a statement read.
  • The organization points out how Disney owns, at least in part, a collection of media and movie properties, including ABC, ESPN, Hulu, Touchstone Pictures, Marvel, Lucasfilm (Star Wars), A&E, The History Channel, Lifetime, Pixar, Hollywood Records, and Vice Media.
  • Disney “has an unrivaled ability to influence American culture, and its economic strength has given it a unique ability to lobby localities, states, and the federal government—as well as foreign governments,” says JCN. “Unfortunately, Disney is no longer content in lobbying for and against policies and regulations that will simply affect its business. Disney has become increasingly ‘woke,’ and is now using their power and influence to drive left-wing policies that have little to do with Bambi and Boba Fett.”
  • The business advocacy group says that “It’s time for companies like Disney to realize that if they go woke, they will go broke” and encourages “all consumers to boycott Disney and the companies they own in order to send a message that they should stay out of culture wars and focus on entertainment.”
  • Rock the Woke will include a “national radio ad campaign, high-profile billboards, digital ads, social media videos, and potential legal actions.”
  • JCN takes donations to continue its mission to defend against bad government policy and to educate the public.
WHAT ELSE ‘ROCK THE WOKE’ SAYS:

“‘Wokeness’ is seeping into every aspect of American life—notably seizing public schools and America’s institutions of higher learning,” the organization’s website reads. “Now, the Woke Crowd is trying to hijack capitalism and take control of corporations. Business executives should not be taking a stance on political or social issues that have nothing to do with company operations. Appeasing woke workers and activist enablers does not benefit shareholders or align with the majority of consumers.”

BACKGROUND:
  • The Job Creators Network—founded by entrepreneurs like The Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus—was the first business group to file legal action against the Biden admin’s attempt to impose a vaccine mandate that would have impacted more than 80 million private-sector employees, many of whom work at small businesses.
  • The group was successful, as the Supreme Court blocked the mandate. Watch below.
