RNC Challenges State Election Laws, Files 70 Lawsuits

The Republican National Committee has filed more than 70 lawsuits against state election procedures. Many of the suits regard standards for poll watchers and the process of counting absentee ballots.

From THE WASHINGTON TIMES:

The RNC told Fox that “aggressive pre-election litigation efforts in many states have been successful in ensuring the rules of the road are clear ahead of time.” It also said the effort will position the GOP to contest any close races after Election Day.

Michael Bars, a former adviser in the Trump White House and executive director of the Election Transparency Initiative, applauded the RNC‘s efforts.

“Significant strides to restore voters’ faith in fair and secure elections have been made in less than two years’ time,” he said. “After the shortcomings of the last election, a proactive and preemptive legal strategy is critical to the election integrity voters deserve in 2022, 2024 and beyond.”
