RFK Jr. Files Paperwork to Run for President as a Democrat

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.), an activist and political figure, has filed paperwork to run for president as a Democrat, according to sources with The New York Times (NYT).

Although he has not yet made a formal announcement, Kennedy has set up a website to solicit donations and volunteers for a potential run.

“Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has spent his life fighting for American democracy and the liberties guaranteed by the Constitution,” the website reads. “He has battled against corporate greed and government corruption to protect our children, our health, our livelihoods, our environment, and above all, our freedom.”

Kennedy (69) is the son of Robert F. Kennedy, a presidential candidate who was assassinated in 1968 while on the campaign trail.

While RFK Jr. was once a prominent environmental lawyer, he has since diverged from the Democratic establishment, drawing ire from those who support the mainstream narrative.

He is most recently known for his criticism of COVID-19 vaccines and his long-time skepticism of childhood vaccinations, linking them to autism. Some children’s vaccines contain mercury, a chemical designated as a risk factor for autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

In his recent bestselling book, “The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health,” Kennedy argues that fromer U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) head Dr. Anthony Fauci and Micosoft co-founder Bill Gates colluded with pharmaceutical manufacturers to profit from vaccines.

While many Democrats express concerns about the current top Democratic presidential candidate for 2024, Joe Biden, no major party leaders are actively exploring a primary challenge, NYT notes.

RFK Jr. expressed on Twitter that if he were to become a candidate, his main objective would be to terminate the corrupt consolidation of state and corporate authority.

“If it looks like I can raise the money and mobilize enough people to win, I’ll jump in the race,” he tweeted in March. “If I run, my top priority will be to end the corrupt merger between state and corporate power that has ruined our economy, shattered the middle class, polluted our landscapes and waters, poisoned our children, and robbed us of our values and freedoms.”

“Together we can restore America’s democracy,” he concluded.
