Republicans Regain Control of the U.S. Senate

Republicans have regained control of the U.S. Senate after flipping seats in West Virginia, Ohio, and Montana, securing at least 52 out of 100 seats with some races still pending results.

In West Virginia, current Governor Jim Justice captured the seat previously held by Democrat Joe Manchin.

In Ohio, Republican Bernie Moreno defeated Democratic incumbent Sherrod Brown, and in Montana, Democratic Senator Jon Tester was unseated by Republican Tim Sheehy.

In the House of Representatives, Republicans are currently leading, though several races remain undecided. The results indicate a strengthened Republican position in Congress following these midterm elections.
