Rep. Nancy Mace Loses Three Senior Staff Members in One Week

Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) has reportedly lost three of her senior staffers in the past week alone.

According to a source with direct knowledge of the matter, her three senior staffers include former chief of staff Dan Hanlon, her deputy chief of staff, Richard Chalkey, who resigned, and her legislative director, Randal Meyer, who resigned effective the end of the month.

The source claimed that working in Mace’s office is a “toxic work environment” and the congresswoman has also lost three junior staffers in recent months due to resignations.

The Daily Beast reported that when Mace was a freshman lawmaker, she distributed a handbook to her staffers that provided them with a weekly booking quota for getting her media time.
