National File on Wednesday reported an incident outside the United States Capitol involving Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) and National File publisher Noel Fritsch.

According to the report, a video has “surfaced allegedly showing Rep. Crenshaw tripping National File publisher Noel Fritsch as he attempted to evade questions, injecting a physical dimension into the contentious debate over party leadership.”

The incident reportedly unfolded during an inquiry by Patrick Howley, a senior reporter for National File, who was walking alongside the Texas representative.

Howley was “probing Crenshaw’s stance on the War Machine and the recent GOP House Speakers vote.”

A confrontation between Crenshaw and National File’s representatives, including Fritsch, Howley, and Charles Downs, unfolded.

In the described video, Crenshaw “can be seen kicking his leg between National File publisher Noel Fritsch’s feet, resulting in Fritsch being tripped in an apparent attempt to evade the line of questioning.”

Adding further intensity to the event, the report claims, “In the extended video, Rep. Crenshaw clearly threatened and tried to trip Noel Fritsch.”

This purported act by Crenshaw is characterized by the report as being driven by anger.

“Dan was angry to be questioned,” thereby adding “an unsettling dynamic into the aftermath of the GOP House Speakers vote.”

This incident, as National File emphasizes, brings forth critical “questions about the conduct of key figures within the GOP.”

Concluding their report, National File poses an open question, asking, “Is this the behavior constituents should anticipate from their Congressman?”
