Public Release of Trans Shooter’s Manifesto Could Be ‘Astronomically Dangerous’

Lawmakers familiar with some of the details of Nashville transgender shooter Audrey Hale’s manifesto have warned that its contents could be dangerous to the public.

Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett (R) said that while Hale’s manifesto may be able to “tell us a little bit about what’s going on inside of her head,” it would not be made available to the public.

Metro Nashville Council Member Courtney Johnston noted that the manifesto was a detailed “blueprint on total destruction,” adding its release “in the wrong person’s hands would be astronomically dangerous.”

Reporting from The Post Millennial:

The FBI's decision not to release the manifesto was scrutinized by criminology professor Joseph Giacalone. In an interview with the Post, he suggested that "if there is something in there that is truly damaging for the transgender community, I think they are hesitant to do it because they are afraid of a violent backlash against that protected class of people."
