Proud Boys Leader Joe Biggs Sentenced to Prison After Jan 6 Involvement

Joe Biggs, the leader of the group Proud Boys, has been sentenced to 17 years in prison after being involved in events pertaining to January 6.

Judge Timothy Kelly, appointed by Trump, said the January 6 U.S. Capitol event “broke our tradition of peacefully transferring power.”

“The mob brought an entire branch of government to heel,” Kelly stated, according to Politico.

Biggs is among several Proud Boys members charged with seditious conspiracy.

Proud Boys member and co-defendant Zach Rehl received a 15-year prison sentence.

A member of Proud Boys who was not charged with seditious conspiracy, Dominic Pezzola, has yet to have his hearing.
