President Trump Says He ‘Successfully’ Passed a Cognitive Test

President Donald Trump shared with reporters aboard Air Force One that he had taken and successfully passed a cognitive test earlier that day, which was part of his annual physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The 78-year-old president emphasized that he was in “very good shape” and noted that a full report from the doctor would be made public on Sunday.

“Overall I felt I was in very good shape. Good heart. A good soul. Very good soul,” Trump said. “I took — I wanted to be a little different than Biden. I took a cognitive test. I don’t know what to tell you other than I got every answer right.”

Trump pointed out that he has undergone and passed similar cognitive tests in previous years, particularly during his first term in office. In contrast, his successor, President Joe Biden, has not taken a cognitive test, something that many have speculated about, given Biden’s occasional missteps in public speaking.

Bloomberg reporter Josh Wingrove shared a photo of Trump addressing the media during the flight to Palm Beach, Florida. This marks another instance where President Trump has proactively addressed concerns about his health and cognitive abilities, a contrast to the more secretive approach often taken by other public figures.

House Republicans are preparing to question Dr. Kevin O’Connor, President Joe Biden’s longtime personal physician, over what they allege was a coordinated effort to conceal the president’s cognitive decline during his time in office. The investigation, spearheaded by Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), aims to uncover whether the White House doctor played a role in maintaining the illusion of Biden’s mental fitness.

Jackson, a former White House physician who now chairs the House Intelligence Committee’s subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, stated O’Connor will “absolutely” be implicated. “He would do or say anything to cover up and protect that family,” Jackson said, claiming O’Connor may have administered a range of medications to manage Biden’s alleged decline.

Video footage from 2024 showing Biden struggling during public remarks has fueled Republican concerns. Critics point to incidents of confusion and verbal missteps as evidence of diminished capacity.
