President Trump Receives Applause at NCAA Wrestling Championship

President Donald Trump was met with overwhelming applause and chants of “USA! USA!” as he entered the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for the NCAA wrestling championship. The moment, captured in a video posted by the White House Rapid Response team, showed Trump shaking hands with supporters and waving to the enthusiastic crowd.

Trump’s attendance at the wrestling championship was highly anticipated, with two of the sport’s biggest stars, Carter Starocci and Gable Steveson, expressing their excitement ahead of the event. Starocci recalled Trump attending the nationals during his sophomore year, calling it “really cool,” while Steveson promised, “We’re going to put on a good show for him.”

Alongside Trump, prominent figures including Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), and Pennsylvania Senate candidate Dave McCormick (R) were also in attendance. The event underscored Trump’s continued popularity, particularly in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, as he remains a dominant figure in American politics.

In December 2024, Trump delivered a powerful rally-style speech at Turning Point Action’s America Fest convention in Phoenix, marking his return to the city following his historic election victory on November 5.

The event drew thousands of supporters, with many lining up outside the Phoenix Convention Center hours before sunrise to see the President-elect speak.

Introduced by Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, Trump took the stage to overwhelming applause, following a dramatic video montage recounting the challenges and triumphs of his campaign.

The presentation highlighted key moments, from legal battles with the Biden administration to his landslide victory in November, where he secured 312 electoral votes, the popular vote, and regained control of both chambers of Congress.

“All of you have worked so hard to get back into the White House in this state. This is the best-performing swing state with a five-and-a-half-point victory,” said Kirk.

“We have all 50 states represented here in this grassroots movement of the greatest American comeback in the history of our country. I truly believe that President Trump, throughout these last couple of years, overcoming all these odds is one of the greatest stories ever told, and let’s just say, Thank you, God, for giving us Donald Trump and giving our country back,” he continued.
