Potentially Lowest World Temperature in Years Recorded in Antarctica Amid Mainstream ‘Climate Change’ Heat Alarm

In a potential meteorological landmark, Concordia Research Station, a Franco-Italian base in Antarctica, may have recorded the lowest temperature globally in the last six years, according to Weatherzone.

The news comes as mainstream news outlets like CNN push “climate change” ideology through frightening headlines like “Cactuses in Phoenix are suddenly collapsing from extreme heat” and “How climate change is fueling a worldwide, record breaking heat wave,” despite significant temperature increases always occurring during summer months.

As per preliminary data unveiled by the Antarctic Meteo-Climatological Observatory of Italy, on July 25, the mercury at Concordia plummeted to an astonishing -83.2ºC.

This feat, however, awaits official endorsement, and if confirmed, it will be the chilliest global temperature in 2023.

Until July 24, the frostiest temperature registered was -80.5ºC, a record set by the JASE2007 Automatic Weather Station.

Notably, Concordia wasn’t alone in setting cold records in this frozen expanse.

A neighboring Automatic Weather Station, named Dome C II, also reported sub -80ºC readings.

On July 24, the station recorded -81.4ºC at 18:47 UTC, followed by an even chillier -81.6ºC just before 03:00 UTC on July 25.

These chilling temperatures further underline the extremity of Antarctic weather conditions.

Accomplished weather historian, Maximiliano Herrera, shared that if accepted, the -82.7ºC reading at Concordia would be the lowest since 2019.

Going a step further, the -83.1ºC from July 25 could potentially be the coldest temperature worldwide since 2017.

Located approximately 3,233 meters above sea level on the Antarctic Plateau, and nearly 1,100 km inland from Australia’s Casey Station, Concordia Research Station is uniquely positioned to experience such drastic temperatures.

This latest event, assuming it’s verified, will set a new low in the station’s meteorological history and add a significant record in the annals of global weather monitoring.

Meanwhile, United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres recently worried that the era of so-called “global warming” has ended and “the era of global boiling has arrived.”

Guterres cited claims that July was on track to be the world’s hottest month on record.

However, a recent Heartland Institute study revealed that nearly all of U.S. temperature stations, crucial to understanding climate change patterns, do not meet the “acceptable” placement standards set by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The group argues that such NOAA station placement issues compromise the accuracy and reliability of surface temperature records.

The study, assembled through satellite data and physical survey visits to NOAA stations, indicates that urbanization’s localized effects have corrupted an alarming 96% of these stations.

Most are situated close to asphalt, machinery, and various other objects that generate, trap, or amplify heat, resulting in a “heat bias.”
