Poll Finds Trump Maintains Lead Over Biden

A poll from Emerson College Polling found that Donald Trump leads by four points over President Joe Biden.

Trump leads 47% to 43%.

Ten percent of respondents are undecided.

The poll results indicated that Trump maintains his lead over Biden, although Biden’s support decreased by two points.

Adding in third-party candidates, 42% of poll respondents support Trump, 36% support Biden, 7% support Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and 1% support Cornel West and Jill Stein.

“Last November, Biden led Trump by four points, whereas this November, he trails Trump by four,” said Executive Director of Emerson College Polling Spencer Kimball. “Several key groups have shifted in the past year: Biden led at this time last year among women by seven points, which has reduced to a point this year.”

The poll also found that minority groups are dropping support for Biden.

Black voter support for Biden dropped from 61 points to 47 points.

Hispanic support for Biden dropped 11 points.

Biden’s overall job approval sits at 38%.

“The president’s disapproval has stayed the same this month, while his approval has dropped four points,” Kimball added. “The president’s approval is the lowest it has been this calendar year, but similar to what it was this time last year when his approval was at 39%.”
