The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has released bodycam footage of officers engaging with mass shooter Audrey Hale, 28, who entered the Covenant School in Nashville on Monday and killed six people, including three children.
Hale, a biological female who identified as transgender, was later killed by police officers.
In the video, Officer Rex Engelbert can be heard frantically trying to track down Hale’s location as she fired shots from a second-story window.
Officers were stationed outside the building, and Hale appeared to be targeting them.
As the officers located Hale and engaged her, she was shot and immediately went down.
In the footage, officers can be heard ordering her to move her hand away from the gun as she lay on the floor.
